Honeystone have followed the Soapbox Derby since 2022 and proudly sponsored the event since 2023. This will be the first time we have entered a team in the race although several of us enjoyed building and racing soapboxes in our youth.

Driver Details & Racing History

James has attended several previous soapbox events and is excited to take part for the first time.

While this is Jame's first soapbox experience he has tackled several different vehicle challenges, everything from a two week trans-European banger car rally, Formula Ford at Castle Combe or driving across the US on Route 66. 

Engineering Background

Our driver James is an Electrical/Electronics Engineer and member of the IET and CMI. 

Dr Jennie Palmer is a Chartered Engineer specialising in structural materials for gas turbine applications.

Tim is a traditionally trained Blacksmith and highly skilled fabricator.

George a Full Stack Software Developer with a specialism in Enterprise Application Architecture. He also enjoys fabrication and classic car restoration as a hobby.

David is a Solutions Consultant with a background in corporate strategy, telecoms and technology.
