Windmill Design Competition
A chance for students to win a 3D printer by designing an innovative windmill blade
This is an individual design competition for students aged 16 and under.
Registrations opened at 09:00am on Monday 17th of February and will close at midnight on Friday 17th of March.
First prize is a 3D printer, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize trophies will be awarded. These will be 3D printed stands with the three best turbine designs mounted on them.
The top three designs will be 3D printed and tested on the day to decide the winner.
The winners will be revealed around 1:30 from the main stage of the event on Saturday May 17th 2025.
How it Works
The entrants will be required to submit a complete, filled out CAD sheet (see links below) with a unique and Innovative design. All competitors need to do is draw their design into the empty space.

Remember to think about what the weather might be like on the day.
Include a catchy quote such as “Dare to be Brave” to draw people in.
